CoBRAIN Brings Science Closer to Society at Researchers’ Night 2026 in Athens

CoBRAIN proudly participated in Researchers’ Night 2026 at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) on 25 September, joining one of Europe’s largest celebrations of science, innovation and public engagement. The event brought together children, families, students, young researchers and science enthusiasts, creating an inspiring environment where cutting-edge research could be explored in an accessible and interactive way.

As Dissemination & Communication Manager of the CoBRAIN Project, EXELISIS welcomed visitors to the dedicated CoBRAIN booth, introducing them to the project’s work on advanced thermal spray coatings, sustainable innovation and digital technologies. Throughout the evening, participants had the opportunity to discover the CoBRAIN Sustainable Decision Support System (SDSS) through informative material and discussions that showcased how digital tools can support smarter and more sustainable decision-making in materials engineering.

A special highlight of the event was the distribution of the new CoBRAIN Autumn Kids Magazine, available in both English and Greek, which attracted great interest from children and families eager to explore science through engaging and educational activities. The enthusiastic participation and meaningful conversations throughout the evening reinforced CoBRAIN’s commitment to bringing research closer to society, inspiring future generations of scientists and engineers, and demonstrating how European research can create real impact beyond the laboratory.
