SCI-FI STORIES
THE COATING DETECTIVES
Once upon a time, in a world full of machines, there was a young scientist named Sam. Sam had a robot friend named Code, and together they traveled around the world, testing new materials to help machines last longer. One day, they found a special coating that could protect against rust and scratches. But there was a problem! They had to figure out how to make the coating faster without wasting time or money. Sam and Code used their special tool that could predict which coating would work best—without doing hundreds of tests!
MORAL: By using smart tools and understanding materials, scientists can find the best solutions faster, just like Sam and Code did!
CHRISTMAS SCIENCE LAB
Deep inside the North Pole, Santa’s workshop is full of jingling bells, sparkling lights, and busy machines making toys for children around the world. But even magical machines can get tired! Their metal parts can scratch, rust, or lose their shine after years of hard work. To help them stay strong, Santa’s helpers use a special wintery process that works a bit like spraying Christmas snowflakes onto metal. These tiny warm sparkles land on the surface and create a shiny protective layer, like a cozy winter coat for the machines. But choosing the perfect magical “coat” isn’t easy. There are so many materials, and testing them one by one would take forever…
So Santa called for help from the smartest team he knows: CoBRAIN! CoBRAIN is like a group of super-clever Christmas elves who use Artificial Intelligence, shiny experiments, and computer magic to discover new super-strong materials in no time. And that’s not all! CoBRAIN is also creating a special magical tool, called the Sustainable Decision Support System, but you can think of it as Santa’s “Wise Winter Guide.” This tool helps Santa and his elves choose the perfect materials by mixing together knowledge, science, and a little bit of Christmas sparkle. Thanks to CoBRAIN’s magic and science, Santa’s workshop stays bright, safe, and ready for the holiday rush!
THE NIGHT THE SLEIGH NEEDED SAVING
Deep in the North Pole, the snowflakes were swirling like silver confetti, and Santa’s workshop glowed with warm golden lights. Elves hurried around with jingling bells on their shoes, checking toy lists, polishing ornaments, and feeding the reindeer extra carrots for energy. But inside Santa’s Mechanical Workshop, a place filled with gears, tools, lights, and
strange humming machines, something was terribly wrong.
Santa’s sleigh… was not working! Its metal runners were scratched. Its sides were worn from last year’s storms. And worst of all, the cold winter air made the metal creak like an old snow-covered tree.
“We’re in trouble,” whispered Tika, the chief elf engineer. “If we don’t fix the sleigh, Santa can’t fly!”
The elves tried everything they knew: polishing, hammering, scrubbing, even sprinkling “extra magic dust” …but nothing worked. That’s when Santa clapped his hands and said: “Call the CoBRAIN team.”
Within minutes, Brainico, the tiny glowing mascot of CoBRAIN, zoomed in on a hover-sparkle board, followed by elf-scientists carrying laptops, measuring tools, and cups of very hot cocoa. Tika explained the problem, showing the scratches and worn-out parts. BRAINico nodded.
“This isn’t just a repair job. This is a materials challenge.”
He tapped on a crystal tablet connected to CoBRAIN’s magical-butscientific system. Suddenly, holograms filled the workshop: snowflake-like microstructures of metals, models of sleigh runners, wear patterns, possible coating combinations, Christmas-energy simulations (only at the North Pole!) The AI inside the system glowed bright blue. “Searching for optimal solution…”
After a moment — DING! A holographic message appeared:
Recommended Material: High-Entropy Coating – FrostGuard Mix
Why?
extremely strong, works perfectly in icy conditions, protects from wear, eco-friendly, Santa-approved
The Sustainable Decision Support System (SDSS) had spoken. The elves rushed into action. Tiny nozzles sprayed a warm, shimmering layer over the sleigh’s runners, just like a winter coat of stardust and science. The metal transformed. It gleamed with a silver-blue shine and felt stronger than ever before. Santa gave the sleigh a gentle push. It glided across the snow as smoothly as a reindeer in midair. Tika cheered. BRAINico glowed. Even the reindeer danced.
“CoBRAIN,” Santa said, stroking his beard, “you’ve saved Christmas!”
And that night, as Santa soared across the sky delivering gifts to the world, the sleigh sparkled with a brand-new protective coating, one made by science, teamwork, and a bit of holiday magic.
MORAL: CoBRAIN shows that when data, experiments, AI, and people work together, we can find smarter, safer, and greener materials. And just like in Santa’s workshop, even Christmas magic needs science to shine!
BRAINICO & THE MYSTERY OF THE GLOWING BEACH
One evening during the hottest week of summer, Brainico visited Crystal Beach, a beautiful place with golden sand, colorful umbrellas, and sparkling blue water. Children were swimming in the sea, families played beach volleyball, ice cream trucks rolled slowly along the coast, and surfers raced across the
waves under the orange sunset. But as night began to fall, something magical happened.
Tiny blue lights suddenly appeared near the water.
The waves started glowing.
“WHOOOAA!” the children shouted.
The entire beach sparkled like the night sky. Some people thought it was magic. Others thought tiny sea fairies had arrived. Brainico became curious. So he followed the glowing water carefully along the shore. Near the rocks, he met a marine scientist studying the sea with special instruments.
“What makes the water glow?” Brainico asked excitedly.
The scientist smiled.
“It’s nature and science working together.”
She explained that tiny living organisms in the sea could create light when the water moved, a real natural phenomenon called bioluminescence. Brainico watched the glowing waves crash softly onto the sand.
“It looks like underwater stars,” he whispered.
The scientist nodded.
“But beaches are also important places for science.”
She pointed around the coast:
– waves constantly shaping surfaces
– strong sunlight heating materials
– salty sea water affecting metal objects
– surfboards needing strong materials
– boats exposed to wind and sea conditions
“Scientists and engineers study all these things,” she explained, “to help objects near the sea stay safe and durable.”
Brainico suddenly noti ced science everywhere around him:
─ inside lifeguard towers
─ in surfb oards
─ in bicycles near the beach
─ in harbor boats
─ even in the ti ny metal parts hidden beneath the boardwalk
That night, the children ran through the glowing waves laughing while the sea shimmered bright blue beneath the moonlight.
Brainico smiled.
Because summer adventures weren’t only fun.
They were full of discovery too.

BRAINICO & THE MYSTERY OF THE RUSTY HARBOR
The Summer Science Festival was only two days away, and the entire harbor was buzzing with excitement. Colorful boats floated on sparkling blue water. Scientists prepared experiments under bright white tents. Engineers tested solar-powered machines while children ran around eating ice cream and watching tiny robot demonstrations. Brainico loved summer at the harbor. Everything smelled like sea salt, sunscreen, and adventure.
But early one morning, something strange happened.
Several boats at the harbor suddenly stopped working. One crane made terrible squeaking noises. A metal bridge near the docks showed orange rusty spots. Even the festival’s giant cooling machine began shaking loudly.
“This is terrible!” cried Marina, the harbor engineer. “The Summer Science Festival begins tomorrow!”
Brainico quickly examined the damaged parts. The hot sun, salty air, sea water, and sand had slowly damaged the metal surfaces. “Corrosion and wear,” Brainico explained seriously. “Summer can be tough on materials.”
The engineers looked worried.
“How can we fi x everything so fast?”
Brainico smiled.
“We use science.”
The CoBRAIN team arrived carrying tablets, sensors, material samples, and cooling equipment. Soon, giant digital screens filled with material simulations, corrosion maps, AI predictions, coati ng designs, sustainability scores. The Sustainable Decision Support System started analyzing thousands of possibilities.
“Searching for optimal solution…”
A few moments later…
Recommended Solution: Ocean Shield Eco-Coating
Benefits:
– protects against salty sea water
– reduces wear
– environmentally friendly
– strong under summer heat
– long-lasti ng and safe
The engineers immediately got to work. Using thermal spray technology, they carefully added a strong protective coating to the damaged surfaces. Tiny
heated particles covered the metal like a powerful summer shield. Slowly, the rusty surfaces disappeared. The boats gleamed again. The bridge became
strong and safe. The cooling machines worked perfectly.
The next day, the Summer Science Festival opened right on time. People cheered as boats sailed across the harbor, machines hummed smoothly, and
fi reworks sparkled above the sea.
“You saved the festival!” Marina told Brainico.
Brainico smiled at the glowing harbor.
“Science protects adventures!” he said.
And as the warm summer sunset reflected across the water, the harbor shined brighter than ever, protected by teamwork, smart decisions, and CoBRAIN
innovation.

CoBRAIN & THE FOREST OF COLOURS : Brainico’s Autumn Science Adventure
Every autumn, something magical happened in the Valley of Colours. The trees changed from green to gold, orange, and deep red. Leaves floated
through the air like tiny dancing flames, while chilly winds rushed through the forest paths. But this autumn was different…
The famous giant metal sculptures inside the Valley Park had started losing their beautiful colours. For years, the sculptures had amazed
visitors:
– giant spinning leaves
– glowing animal statues
– moving wind sculptures
– rain-powered fountains
But now, after many rainy seasons and strong winds, the surfaces looked dull and damaged. Some parts squeaked loudly. Others moved too slowly.
A few had tiny rusty spots appearing on their edges. Visitors were worried.
“Will the sculptures stop working forever?” the children asked.
That’s when Brainico arrived. He carefully inspected the giant moving sculptures and explained:
“Autumn weather can be challenging for materials. Rain, humidity, friction, and changing temperatures slowly affect metal surfaces over time.”
The artists and engineers of the park gathered around Brainico.
“But how can we protect the sculptures without changing their beautiful designs?” they asked.
Brainico smiled. “That’s where science helps creativity.”
Soon, the CoBRAIN team arrived carrying:
– material testing tools
– engineering equipment
– computer models
– AI systems
– surface scanners
The scientists studied:
– weather conditions
– movement of the sculptures
– surface damage
– durability of materials
– and different coating possibilities
Together, the artists and scientists searched for solutions that would help protect the sculptures while keeping them beautiful and functional. Using thermal spray technology, engineers carefully added new protective coatings to the moving metal surfaces. Tiny heated particles created thin protective layers that helped the sculptures resist wear and changing weather conditions.
A few days later…
The sculptures moved smoothly once again. The fountains sparkled. The giant leaves spun beautifully in the wind. That evening, families returned to the Valley Park. Children laughed while colourful lights reflected across the autumn leaves. One little girl looked at Brainico and asked:
“So science can help art too?”
Brainico smiled warmly.
“Of course,” he said. “Science helps protect the things people create, use, and love.”
