COATINGS 2026 Video Highlights

The CoBRAIN project successfully concluded its final event with the COATINGS 2026 International Conference, held in Athens and organised by EXELISIS and MDPI. This international conference brought together more than 150 participants from 29 countries, including researchers, industry representatives, SMEs, and RTOs, confirming the strong international reach and impact of the project. Over three days, the conference featured oral presentations, poster sessions, and thematic discussions that highlighted recent advances in materials science, thermal spraying technologies, and digital innovation.
A dedicated CoBRAIN session showcased key project outcomes, including developments in thermal spray coatings and the application of the SDSS decision-support tool, complemented by an interactive workshop on “Technology Cards” for industrial uptake. With 8 CoBRAIN scientific contributions, an invited speaker, and extensive networking opportunities, including a memorable Gala Dinner under the Acropolis view, the event marked a successful and inspiring closure to the project, reinforcing collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the future potential of CoBRAIN results
CoBRAIN project has officially launched!
On 24th – 25th of January EXELISIS participated in the hybrid kick-off meeting, of the CoBRAIN project, hosted by UNIMORE in Modena of Italy. CoBRAIN is a HorizonEU project funded by the EU under the topic Advanced materials modelling and characterisation.
EXELISIS is leading activities related to IPR Management and Dissemination & Communication activities under WP7, which were presented along with some guidelines for a successful D&C strategy.
