CoBRAIN presented at SMT36 BARCELONA 2025

On February 27, 2025, Prof. Giovanni Bolelli, coordinator of the CoBRAIN project, delivered an invited presentation at SMT36 BARCELONA 2025 – the International Conference on Surface Modification Technologies. This biannual event, hosted at Universitat de Barcelona, gathered leading academics and experts in surface engineering to discuss advancements, challenges, and future trends in the field.
Prof. Bolelli’s presentation focused on the experimental progress of CoBRAIN, highlighting breakthroughs in thermal spray coatings and advanced materials. His talk provided key insights into how surface modification technologies are evolving and how CoBRAIN’s research is contributing to these advancements. The presentation sparked engaging discussions, reinforcing the importance of collaboration in driving innovation.

CoBRAIN project has officially launched!
On 24th – 25th of January EXELISIS participated in the hybrid kick-off meeting, of the CoBRAIN project, hosted by UNIMORE in Modena of Italy. CoBRAIN is a HorizonEU project funded by the EU under the topic Advanced materials modelling and characterisation.
EXELISIS is leading activities related to IPR Management and Dissemination & Communication activities under WP7, which were presented along with some guidelines for a successful D&C strategy.
